While working with organic farmers in India, we realised that there was a big information gap between 'farmers-businesses-consumers', and often genuine businesses struggled to prove the authenticity of the product, or many times 'the authenticity' was questioned by the consumers.



To gain the trust of consumers, and mitigate the risk of frauds and recalls related to food / agriculture industry, we found out that the 'Blockchain' technology will be an ideal solution due to its immutable nature. The technology may have many use cases, but we wanted to use it for 'traceability of the farm food'.

At 'Mocaya' we have been experimenting with blockchain since 2017, and finally came up with a simple possible solution, so that the other business too can use it to back their 'traceability of food' claim without knowing to understand tech details.
